Bernard makes a point in answering every call made to him by mail or phone. He regularly attends both Parish and District Councils along with his Staffordshire County Council meetings that keep him aware of the plans and requirements for our villages. As a School Governor at Cheslyn Hay Academy he supports the aims and efforts of the teachers in the work they carry out with our children.
Bernard encourages everyone to keep fit as the best way to good health. He has supported highly respected Wyrley Juniors Football Club, The exceptional National Tennis Award Winner Cheslyn Hay Tennis while for the less mobile the enjoyable Table Tennis at Bat and Chat Table Tennis in Salem Church, Cheslyn Hay while not forgetting the volunteers with the Scouts and Boys Brigade.
The construction of the M54 to M6 link road is to begin soon so that in the short term it will obviously create extra problems on our roads if diversions are to occur.
Talks with Staffordshire County Highways and Highways England need to start soon explaining what effects it will have on our roads starting at Westcroft and Featherstone. I will be working hard to liaise between the community and all relevant agencies to ensure we get the best we can in my area,
